Butterfly Parts:- Items 0-149 are for new style boats, which can be identified by the stainless steel one-piece gudgeon that the rudder/tiller assembly inserts into.
- Items 150-199 are specifically for old style boats, which can be identified by the two-piece aluminum gudgeons that the rudder/tiller assembly inserts into.
- Most components fit old and new style boats, but if you have an old style boat, double-check or let us know when you're ready to order and we can try to make sure you're getting the right parts.

Our longer lasting, better shaped mainsail was designed by Jim Young, (Winner of 17 Butterfly National titles since 1965 and 5-time Olympic coach) and Skip Elliot (Elliott Sail loft, sailmaker since 1971, US Sailing Team member in the Tornado, sail designer and sailmaker for NACRA catamarans).
We believe our sail is superior to all others on the market today, made from the the best materials with ultra high performance 4.25 oz sailcloth, and is designed to be the longest lasting, best shaped, fastest Butterfly sail available.
We're limited to white at this time, because the ultra high quality sailcloth we're using is not available in colors.
Through a special agreement, this sail is manufactured by Elliot-Patterson exclusively for Northern Lake Sailboats and Jim Young Sailing.
